Is it known whether the active ingredients in Orkambi pass into human breast milk?

It is unknown whether Orkambi’s lumacaftor, ivacaftor or their metabolites pass into human milk; both ingredients enter rat milk, risks to the breastfed child cannot be excluded, and stopping breastfeeding or Orkambi must be considered by weighing breastfeeding benefits for the child against treatment benefits for the woman.
