Piperacillin + tazobactam is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to piperacillin, tazobactam or any other penicillin antibacterial, or a history of an acute severe allergic reaction to another beta-lactam, such as a cephalosporin, monobactam or carbapenem.
