Liquid biopsy (ctDNA) enables non-invasive molecular monitoring during targeted therapy. It also detects molecular heterogeneity that tissue biopsy may miss. While not yet standard of care for treatment modification decisions, ctDNA monitoring is increasingly used in clinical practice and trials.
