What is tafamidis meglumine used for?
The selected product is licensed for:
Treating adults with stage 1 symptomatic transthyretin amyloid polyneuropathy to delay peripheral neurological impairment.
How does tafamidis meglumine work?
Transthyretin normally circulates as a four-part protein. Tafamidis binds to and stabilises this structure, slowing its separation into unstable components that can misfold and form amyloid deposits around nerves.

Apixaban or rivaroxaban
Exposure may increase; monitor for anticoagulant adverse effects, including bleeding.
Methotrexate or imatinib
Exposure may increase, requiring monitoring for medicine-specific toxicity.
