Rb-82 is a potassium analogue taken up rapidly by viable myocardium broadly in proportion to perfusion through sodium–potassium transport. It decays to stable krypton-82 with a physical half-life of approximately 75 seconds and has no expected pharmacodynamic activity at diagnostic concentrations.
