How does olodaterol hydrochloride work?
Olodaterol activates beta2 receptors in airway smooth muscle, increasing cyclic AMP. This relaxes the muscle and widens the airways.
How to take olodaterol hydrochloride
Use only by inhalation with the reusable Respimat device. Ask a healthcare professional to demonstrate the technique and follow the device leaflet when preparing the inhaler or changing a cartridge.
Breathe out away from the device, then seal your lips around the mouthpiece and inhale slowly and deeply while releasing the mist.
Keep air vents clear and avoid spraying into the eyes.
Clean the mouthpiece, including the internal metal part, with a damp cloth or tissue.
