C1-esterase inhibitor controls complement activation and the contact system, including factor XIIa and plasma kallikrein. Replacing deficient activity limits excessive bradykinin production, which contributes to hereditary angioedema swelling.
How to take C1-esterase inhibitor, human
This formulation is injected under the skin and may be self-administered only after appropriate training. Follow the product instructions and the technique taught by the specialist team.
Reconstitute and withdraw the solution using aseptic technique and the supplied equipment.
Gently swirl the vial; do not shake it.
