Clinical pharmacology
Amorolfine is a topical morpholine antifungal that inhibits fungal sterol biosynthesis, reducing ergosterol and causing abnormal sterols to accumulate. It penetrates and diffuses through the nail plate; systemic absorption is very low and accumulation has not been demonstrated with prolonged topical use.
Formulation and product differences
