Supplying amino acids, glucose, electrolytes and fluid during parenteral nutrition in adults and children aged 2 to 17 years with moderately severe catabolism, when oral or enteral nutrition is impossible, insufficient or contraindicated.
How does alanine + arginine + aspartic acid + 20 other active ingredients work?
The amino acids provide nitrogen and building blocks for proteins and other molecules. Glucose supplies energy, helping spare amino acids for tissue maintenance and repair, while electrolytes support normal metabolic and physiological functions.
How to take alanine + arginine + aspartic acid + 20 other active ingredients
It is prepared and infused by trained staff through a central venous line. The two chambers are mixed aseptically immediately before use; the solution should be at room temperature, completely clear and in an undamaged bag. A suitable in-line filter is required, and nothing should be added unless compatibility has been established.
Do not alter the pump settings or infusion speed yourself.
Keep the catheter and connections clean and dry, following the nutrition team's instructions.
Any solution left after infusion must be discarded.
