Aspirin reduces prostaglandin production, helping relieve pain, fever and inflammation and temporarily reducing platelet aggregation. Paracetamol reduces pain and fever mainly within the central nervous system. Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors, producing mild central stimulation.
How to take acetylsalicylic acid + caffeine + paracetamol
Dissolve the effervescent tablets fully in water and drink the solution. Follow the product leaflet and check other medicines carefully for paracetamol or aspirin.
Do not swallow the tablets whole.
Do not take another paracetamol-containing product at the same time.
Consider caffeine from coffee, tea, energy drinks and other medicines.
The product contains substantial sodium, which matters if sodium restriction has been advised.

- Vomiting blood, black stools, severe abdominal pain or other signs of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration

- A widespread blistering or peeling skin reaction
- Unexplained severe bleeding, marked pallor or weakness
- Reduced urine output, swelling or other signs of kidney impairment
- Yellowing of the skin or eyes, confusion or other signs of liver dysfunction

Do not use in the third trimester. Earlier in pregnancy, it should only be considered when a doctor considers it clearly necessary. Paracetamol alone is usually preferred for mild to moderate pain. Ask a pharmacist, midwife or doctor before use if pregnant or trying to conceive.

The selected product is contraindicated during breastfeeding. Aspirin for pain relief is not recommended because of possible effects on the infant, and caffeine passes into breast milk and may cause irritability or poor sleep.
