Efavirenz/emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil maleate should not be used during breastfeeding because its components enter human milk, their effects on infants are insufficiently known and infant risk cannot be excluded; women living with HIV are also advised not to breastfeed to avoid HIV transmission.
