Why can some infusion equipment cause incorrect dosing of Rixubis (nonacog gamma)?

Rixubis (nonacog gamma) can be incorrectly dosed because factor IX adsorbs to internal surfaces of some infusion equipment; only plastic luer-lock syringes should be used, and it must not be mixed with other medicinal products in the absence of compatibility studies.
