Answer
During tirofiban treatment, platelet count, haemoglobin and haematocrit are checked before treatment, within 2–6 hours and at least daily thereafter (more often with marked decreases), with platelets checked within the first hour after re-exposure to GPIIb/IIIa antagonists; APTT is checked before treatment and repeatedly to monitor heparin.
