What suspected interaction has been reported between amantadine hydrochloride and diuretics combining hydrochlorothiazide with a potassium-sparing diuretic?

Isolated reports suggest that one or both components of hydrochlorothiazide–potassium-sparing diuretic combinations reduce amantadine hydrochloride clearance, raising plasma concentrations and causing toxic effects including confusion, hallucinations, ataxia and myoclonus.
