Nevirapine has caused severe, potentially life-threatening skin reactions, including fatal cases, mainly during the first six weeks: Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis and hypersensitivity reactions involving rash, constitutional symptoms and internal-organ involvement.
