Dactinomycin can cause abnormal liver tests, hepatomegaly, hepatitis, potentially fatal hepatic failure, hepatic encephalopathy and pleural effusion complicating liver disorders; hepatic veno-occlusive disease, potentially associated with intravascular clotting disorder and multi-organ failure, has been reported with Cosmegen in multidrug chemotherapy.
