Nexium I.V. (esomeprazole) is used in adults when oral treatment is impossible to suppress gastric acid for GERD with esophagitis and/or severe reflux symptoms, heal NSAID-associated gastric ulcers, and prevent NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients at risk.
