Answer
Streptozocin can reduce haematocrit, leukocytes and platelets; acute toxicity is rare and usually mild and transient, but fatal leukocyte/platelet reductions and increased infection susceptibility can occur, while rare late myelodysplastic syndrome or acute myeloid leukaemia has been reported after streptozocin-based chemotherapy followed by peptide receptor radionuclide therapy.
