For acute uncomplicated cystitis in women and female adolescents over 12 years, give fosfomycin 3 g orally once . Dissolve the dose in a glass of water and take it immediately, on an empty stomach (about 2–3 hours before or after food), preferably at bedtime after emptying the bladder .
