Correct answer: AOptimise analgesia, treat delirium precipitants and start supported early mobilisation with physiotherapy

Hip fracture recovery depends on early mobilisation, adequate analgesia and management of delirium and constipation. Undertreated pain is itself a delirium and immobility risk, while excessive sedation is harmful. A supported rehabilitation plan with physiotherapy and occupational therapy is more appropriate than bed rest. The pearl is that fear of falling after fracture should be addressed through supervised mobility, not immobility.
