Correct answer: C — Give intravenous lorazepam and call for senior help

A convulsive seizure lasting more than 5 minutes should be treated promptly with a benzodiazepine such as IV lorazepam when IV access is available. Waiting increases the risk of refractory status epilepticus. CT may be needed later depending on cause but must not delay seizure termination. The pearl is to check glucose early but not to delay first-line antiseizure treatment.
