FSH testing can support stopping decisions in some women over 50 using progestogen-only contraception, with continued contraception until criteria are met. POP amenorrhoea does not prove menopause. CHC is generally not the routine switch at this age, UPA is not regular contraception, and biopsy is not indicated without abnormal bleeding or risk features. The pearl is that bleeding patterns on POP are unreliable for menopause diagnosis.
