Human Medicines Regulations allow emergency supply of a POM at a patient's request when criteria such as immediate need, previous prescribing and impracticability of obtaining a prescription are satisfied. The quantity should be appropriate within legal limits and professional judgement. Ramipril is not a Controlled Drug requiring a CD register entry.
