A PGD allows supply or administration of specified medicines by named authorised healthcare professionals within its terms. Being trained is not enough if the practitioner is not authorised under the PGD. The pharmacist should not supply under that PGD until properly authorised. Consent does not replace legal authority to supply a POM.
