Gliclazide can cause hypoglycaemia. Symptoms should be treated promptly with fast-acting carbohydrate, followed by longer-acting carbohydrate if needed, and the cause reviewed. Extra gliclazide would worsen hypoglycaemia. Driving should not resume until safe according to DVLA and clinical advice.
