Triptans are contraindicated or unsuitable in uncontrolled hypertension because of vasoconstrictive effects and cardiovascular risk. The patient needs review of both migraine treatment and BP control. Sumatriptan is used for acute migraine, not daily prevention. Combining with sympathomimetics would add risk.
