Correct answer: DDo not drive until glucose has recovered and sufficient time has passed for concentration to return

Hypoglycaemia impairs driving ability and creates legal and safety risks. The driver should treat the hypo, confirm recovery and allow time for cognitive function to return before driving. Fast-acting carbohydrate is preferred initially. Glucose checking before and during longer journeys is an important safety measure for insulin-treated drivers.
