Pregabalin can cause dizziness, somnolence and impaired concentration, particularly when treatment is started or doses change. Patients should avoid driving or operating machinery until they know how the medicine affects them. Alcohol can worsen CNS adverse effects. Analgesic benefit may require titration and should not be judged from a single dose.
