Subsequent circumpulpal intertubular dentine mineralises within a collagen- and proteoglycan-rich matrix without the same matrix-vesicle dependence. Option B reverses these mechanisms. Both tissues are odontoblast-derived and collagen-containing, excluding C and D; type I, not predominantly type III, is the principal dentinal collagen. Matrix-vesicle-associated mantle dentine formation is not restricted to the root, excluding E.
