Its ductility permits marginal burnishing, but its relatively low strength restricts it to small intracoronal restorations in areas of low occlusal stress. Removable partial denture frameworks and clasps require the substantially greater strength associated historically with Type IV alloys, making B incorrect. Metal-ceramic restorations require alloys specifically formulated for porcelain bonding and firing temperatures, not Type I inlay gold. Implant abutments are not an exclusive indication for any Type I alloy. Orthodontic wires require resilience, springback and appropriate yield strength rather than the softness and malleability of an inlay alloy.
