Option A is correct. An intraosseous ameloblastoma most often occurs in the posterior mandible and usually presents as a well-demarcated radiolucency. It is commonly multilocular, producing a soap-bubble or honeycomb appearance, but may be unilocular, particularly in unicystic lesions. Cortical expansion, displacement of teeth and root resorption may provide additional diagnostic clues. A radiopacity fused to a tooth root suggests cementoblastoma (B), while multiple tooth-like structures suggest a compound odontoma (C). A diffuse ground-glass appearance is typical of fibrous dysplasia (D). A cotton-wool mixed-density pattern affecting several areas is more characteristic of Paget disease (E).
