Correct answer: EEmollients and low-to-moderate potency topical corticosteroids

For psoriasis in pregnancy, emollients and low-to-moderate potency topical corticosteroids are considered the safest topical treatments. Potent and very potent topical steroids should be used sparingly and for short durations due to potential risks of low birth weight with extensive use. Topical retinoids (Tazarotene) are CONTRAINDICATED in pregnancy (teratogenic). Coal tar has theoretical carcinogenic concerns and is generally avoided. Calcipotriol (Vitamin D analogue) has limited safety data in pregnancy. For systemic therapy, NB-UVB phototherapy is safe; Ciclosporin may be used; Methotrexate and Acitretin are absolutely contraindicated.
