Correct answer: A — 5 mg/kg/day
EULAR 2023 recommends Hydroxychloroquine for all SLE patients at a target dose of 5 mg/kg real body weight per day, considering individual risk of flares and retinal toxicity. For a 60 kg patient this would be 300 mg/day. The previous maximum of 6.5 mg/kg/day is no longer the target due to retinal toxicity risk. In moderate-severe cases the initial dose may exceed 5 mg/kg (up to 400 mg/day) then adjusted later.
