A 7-month-old boy is brought to A&E with a 2-day history of coryzal symptoms and increasing breathlessness. He has a dry cough and poor feeding. On examination he has tachypnoea, subcostal recession and widespread fine crackles and wheeze. Oxygen saturation is 93% on air. What is the most appropriate management strategy?
