How does vibegron work?
Vibegron selectively activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors in the bladder’s detrusor muscle. This relaxes the muscle during bladder filling, increasing storage capacity and helping reduce urgency, frequency and urge-related leakage.

How to take vibegron
Follow the instructions provided by the prescriber and pharmacy label.
Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
It may be taken with or without food.
If necessary, crush the tablet and mix it with soft food. Take the mixture immediately and then drink water.

vibegron in pregnancy
Human pregnancy information is absent or very limited, and animal studies identified reproductive toxicity. Vibegron is not recommended during pregnancy or when planning pregnancy. Contact the prescriber if pregnancy occurs so treatment can be reviewed.
vibegron while breastfeeding
It is unknown whether vibegron enters human milk, and a risk to a breastfed infant cannot be excluded. It should not be used while breastfeeding; discuss alternatives with the prescriber.

Digoxin
Vibegron can increase digoxin exposure, so blood concentrations should be monitored and treatment adjusted where necessary.
Dabigatran etexilate, apixaban or rivaroxaban
These are sensitive P-glycoprotein substrates with a narrow safety margin; the potential interaction should be considered clinically.
Antimuscarinic bladder medicines
Combined treatment may increase the risk of urinary retention, especially where bladder outlet obstruction is present.
