How to take ipratropium bromide monohydrate
Use the inhaler as instructed by the prescriber and product leaflet. Food does not affect administration because it is inhaled.
Sit or stand upright and ensure the mouthpiece is clean and unobstructed.
Breathe out comfortably, seal your lips around the mouthpiece, then breathe in slowly and deeply while pressing the canister.
Hold your breath for as long as comfortable, then breathe out slowly away from the inhaler.
Keep the spray away from your eyes and replace the mouthpiece cover after use.
Prime and clean the inhaler as described in the leaflet. Never put the metal canister in water.
