Prescribing considerations
- Licensed for migraine prophylaxis in adults with at least four migraine days per month.

Clinical pharmacology
Fremanezumab is a humanised IgG monoclonal antibody that binds alpha- and beta-CGRP, preventing receptor activation. It is degraded proteolytically to peptides and amino acids rather than metabolised through CYP450 enzymes.
Formulation and product differences
- The selected product is a single-use pre-filled glass syringe containing a clear to opalescent, colourless to slightly yellow solution.
- The syringe must not be shaken, frozen, mixed with other products or used if the solution is cloudy, discoloured or contains particles.
