How does ceftazidime pentahydrate work?
It binds to bacterial penicillin-binding proteins and disrupts construction of the cell wall, killing susceptible bacteria. Beta-lactamases, altered targets, reduced entry and efflux pumps can cause resistance.

How to take ceftazidime pentahydrate
