How does starting rifampicin affect ambrisentan exposure?

Starting rifampicin transiently increased ambrisentan exposure approximately twofold in healthy volunteers, but by day 8 there was no clinically relevant effect at steady state; patients taking ambrisentan should be closely monitored when starting rifampicin.
