Why may cyclosporine concentrations need monitoring when treatment with teclistamab (Tecvayli) is started?

Starting teclistamab (Tecvayli) can release cytokines that suppress CYP450 enzymes, potentially affecting cyclosporine concentrations; monitoring is advised from initiation of the step-up schedule until seven days after the first maintenance dose or during a cytokine release syndrome event.
