Why is piroxicam (Feldene) contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy?

Piroxicam (Feldene) is contraindicated during the third trimester because prostaglandin inhibition may cause fetal ductus arteriosus constriction or closure, pulmonary hypertension and renal dysfunction, prolong maternal and neonatal bleeding time, and inhibit uterine contractions, delaying or prolonging labour.
