Suddenly stopping a high-rate infusion of the B.Braun Medical 10% w/v Glucose Intravenous Infusion BP product can cause profound hypoglycaemia because of accompanying high serum insulin concentrations, especially in children under two years, patients with diabetes mellitus, and those with other diseases impairing glucose homeostasis.
