CYP3A4 inducers such as carbamazepine, dexamethasone, phenobarbital, phenytoin and rifampicin may reduce Qtern’s glucose-lowering effect, so blood glucose control should be assessed when Qtern is used with a potent CYP3A4/5 inducer.
