Answer
Monofer (ferric derisomaltose) is indicated for laboratory-confirmed iron deficiency when oral iron is ineffective or cannot be used, or when rapid iron delivery is clinically needed; haemoglobin alone is sufficient for diagnosis in acute blood loss.
