When is cycloserine indicated for active pulmonary or extrapulmonary tuberculosis?

Cycloserine is indicated for active pulmonary or extrapulmonary tuberculosis, including renal disease, when organisms are susceptible and adequate treatment with primary medications (streptomycin, isoniazid, rifampicin and ethambutol) has failed, and must be combined with other effective chemotherapy rather than used alone.
