There are no data on methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta use in pregnant women; animal studies indicate no direct harmful effects on pregnancy, embryofoetal development, birth or postnatal development, but show a class-related reversible reduction in foetal weight, so prescribing during pregnancy requires caution.
