What injection-site reactions were reported with certolizumab pegol in rheumatoid arthritis trials?

In placebo-controlled rheumatoid arthritis trials, injection-site reactions such as erythema, itching, haematoma, pain, swelling or bruising occurred in 5.8% of certolizumab pegol (Cimzia) patients versus 4.8% receiving placebo; injection-site pain occurred in 1.5% of Cimzia patients, with no cases leading to withdrawal.
