Before starting Nilemdo (bempedoic acid), women of childbearing potential should receive effective contraception advice and start effective contraception, including advice that diarrhoea or vomiting may reduce oestrogen-based oral contraceptive effectiveness and that they must stop Nilemdo and immediately contact their physician if planning pregnancy or becoming pregnant.
