Following treatment for testicular cancer, patients require specialist monitoring for disease recurrence [Baird, 2018; Laguna, 2021]. Tumour markers, specifically alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels, are used post-operatively to monitor treatment response and detect disease relapse [Laguna, 2021].
