Correct answer: DGive intramuscular glucagon or intravenous glucose to correct the hypoglycaemia.

Symptomatic hypoglycaemia is corrected promptly with intravenous glucose, or with intramuscular glucagon when access is difficult or the patient cannot safely swallow. Insulin would worsen the situation. Treatment should not be delayed by repeated cannulation attempts when glucagon is available.
